Harvesting Resource Allocation in Energy Harvesting Wireless Sensor Networks
Considering an energy harvesting sensor network, the overall probability of event loss is derived. Based on this result, a variety of harvesting resource allocation schemes (sizing the energy storages and the harvesting devices, under a total cost constraint) are provided. Their performances are verified and compared through simulations.
متن کاملAn Algorithm for Resource Allocation through the Classification of DMUs
Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a non-parametric method for assessing relative efficiency of decision-making units (DMUs). Every single decision-maker with the use of inputs produces outputs. These decision-making units will be defined by the production possibility set. Resource allocation to DMUs is one of the concerns of managers since managers can employ the results of this process to a...
متن کاملEnergy Harvesting Based Body Area Networks for Smart Health
Body area networks (BANs) are configured with a great number of ultra-low power consumption wearable devices, which constantly monitor physiological signals of the human body and thus realize intelligent monitoring. However, the collection and transfer of human body signals consume energy, and considering the comfort demand of wearable devices, both the size and the capacity of a wearable devic...
متن کاملCross-Layer Resource Allocation in Energy Harvesting Sensor Networks
Recent advances in the field of wireless communications and data acquisition have enabled us with the unique capability to remotely sense our environment. Data acquisition networks can be used to sense natural as well as human-created phenomena. Several experimental networks are already in place for studying earthquakes, fire, and glacial movements, which are all critical to human existence. As...
